What do I do?
Lights on, sunglasses off, and mind the limit. In single-lane tunnels, the driver on the lay-by side pulls into the M-marked bays to let oncoming traffic pass.
Iceland's fjords are stitched together with long tunnels, and a few — mostly in the Westfjords and east — are single-lane with passing bays. Signs at the portal say which direction yields.
