Gangbraut
What do I do?
Stop for anyone on the crossing or clearly waiting to step onto it — pedestrians have full priority here.
Gangbraut means walking way. The sign stands on both sides of the road, and on the island if there is one. In Icelandic towns people step out expecting you to stop, so approach slowly.
