What do I do?
Read it top to bottom: straight-ahead destinations are listed first, then left turns, then right turns. Find your town, then note the road number beside it — that's what the signs will confirm from here on.
The big stacked board at or just before major junctions, yellow in the countryside and blue in the Capital Region. Relatives do the same job in other shapes: an overhead version with one arrow per lane (F08.11, leiðavísir), an advance sign 150–250 m out drawn as a little map of the junction (F09), and the same table repeated in advance (F11.51).
