What do I do?
Memorise this board: 30 km/h in residential zones, 50 in towns, 80 on gravel, 90 on paved rural roads. Those are Iceland's default limits everywhere.
Often the first sign you see — posted leaving Keflavík Airport, ferry ports and rental lots. There are no motorway speeds here: 90 km/h is the national maximum, whatever the car behind you thinks.
