What do I do?
Stay in line until the end-of-restriction sign or a broken centre line. Passing chances come — patience beats a head-on.
Marks crests, bends and bridge approaches without room to pass. Route 1 is mostly one lane each way with no shoulder to bail into, which is why Icelandic overtaking crashes are head-on crashes.
