No stopping
Bannað að stöðva ökutæki
What do I do?
Don't stop here at all — not for a photo, not to drop someone off. Keep moving unless traffic ahead forces you to halt.
Two red slashes mean no stopping; one slash is the milder no-parking. In Iceland the temptation is scenery rather than errands — use the marked pull-outs, because a car halted on the road itself is a genuine hazard where traffic arrives at 90 km/h.
