What do I do?
Shift down before the descent and let the engine do the braking — riding the brakes all the way down overheats them. The number is the gradient.
Mountain passes and fjord heaths drop steeply, often into wind or onto gravel. You'll meet this sign on Öxnadalsheiði, in the East Fjords, and on most roads climbing out of a fjord.
