Refuge hut
Sæluhús
What do I do?
Marks a touring-association mountain hut. You normally pay to stay, and in summer the popular ones must be booked ahead.
A sæluhús — literally a "bliss house" — is a staffed or serviced hut for planned overnight stays on hiking routes and highland tracks. Don't confuse it with the orange emergency shelter, which is free but strictly for emergencies.
